Pennsylvania Impressionists
Over the years, Freeman’s has made a name for itself by becoming the only auction house in the country to have sales dedicated to the Pennsylvania Impressionists. With more than 100 works on offer each year, we have sold more works by this group than any other auction house.

On June 14, 2020, Freeman’s offered a dozen of high-level Pennsylvania Impressionist pieces coming from the private Collection of Heidi Bingham Stott, granddaughter of the illustrious Hiram Bingham who notably rediscovered the archeological site of Machu Pichu in 1911. The sale yielded an impressive 100% sell-through rate, with strong prices realized across the board for artists such as Edward Redfield, Daniel Garber and Fern Coppedge; and a new world record for William L. Lathrop.
